The 215th Army Band was performing in Salem the week after the Spaghetti Dinner. As Scout Freddie’s mom had organized the concert, Freddie took the opportunity to say THANK YOU to the 215th for coming to the Spaghetti Dinner the week before.

Freddie’s mom had taken a picture of the 215th Army band of Massachusetts along side the Honorable Artillery Band of London on the steps of Trinity Church in Boston on “June Day” the previous summer, so they went and had it framed to present to the band.

Captain Martins was extremely happy with the gift. When Freddie suggested he hang it in the band room, he said “no way, this is going in my office!”

Thank you for your service Captain Martins and all the wonderful musicians in the 215th! That was a treat like no other!
